How to share any type of document

  1. To share a document you will first have to have it uploaded or started on your Google Docs page.
  2. Once the document is uploaded, you need to find the button that says share; click it
  3. Next there will be a few options to choose from:
  • Share with others- Here, you will be prompted to provide a list of emails of those you want to share with. They will need to have a Google Account to Edit but not View.
  • Email as attachment- This option allows you to email the work as a single attachment.
  • Publish as Webpage
  • View as Webpage- The last option "View as Web Page" is just a preview of what the document will look like as an html / http web page.

How to Upload a File to Google Docs


  1. First you need to sign into your gmail account
  2. Next you need to click on gmail, then click documents in the top left hand corner
  3. Then you click the upload button
  4. Next you type in what you want to name the file in the correct box, or you click choose file to browse in the computer,
  5. Once you choose your file, then you name it in the correct box
  6. The last step is to click upload file, this will bring up a new window with the document you have chosen .

There are different types of files that can be uploaded:
  • documents (up to 500KB)
  • Presentations (up to 10MB from your computer, 2MB from the web, 500KB via email)
  • Spreadsheets (up to 1MB)
  • PDF files ( up to 10MB from your computer, 2 MB from the web)
